New in Wild Atlas: Count Safari, a Talking Safety Guide, and a Fresh Mandarin Voice

The Game Den has a new resident.

Count Safari is Wild Atlas's first counting game — real animals, a number to match, and the kind of satisfying tap that younger kids want to repeat. We wrote a full post about how it works and why we built it the way we did: Count Safari: A Counting Game Built on How Kids Actually Learn Numbers.

But Count Safari isn't the only thing in this update. Here is everything that changed.

The Safety Guide now speaks

Every animal in Wild Atlas has a safety description — is it dangerous, is it venomous, what happens if you get too close. That section now reads itself aloud. It joins the narrated animal facts and quiz questions, which means the full app is now something a pre-reader can follow without a grown-up reading alongside.

For parents who have been handing Wild Atlas to a child in the backseat and hoping for the best, this update closes the last gap.

Every game in the Game Den got a polish pass

Who's Who?, Memory Match, Puppy Puzzle, and Habitat Hop. All four got smoother animations and tighter response times. The kind of fixes that are invisible on a changelog but obvious the moment a child stops sighing at the screen.

A re-recorded Mandarin voice

Families using the Simplified Chinese setting will find new narration across every animal pack — a warmer, more natural voice throughout. No new content to find, no settings to change. It updates automatically.

Smarter downloads when you switch languages

Two quieter improvements: switching languages now fetches exactly the audio your device needs, and content updates now refresh every pack you own. Both are the kind of fix that takes three seconds off an experience and never gets mentioned — until it doesn't happen and someone notices.
